When using the serum, patients are advised to apply 1 drop in each eye along with preservative-free artificial tears every 2 hours during the day, along with a hyperosmotic agent every 4 hours. Doctors may also recommend therapeutic contact lenses to protect the cornea. The dosage is gradually reduced over a period of 4 months until patients use only PRP eye drops and preservative-free artificial tears. Patients are monitored through regular checkups at different intervals.
